Subject: How to enable verbose:gc
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Error Message
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Not applicable

We get a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError every while and I have learned here in a previous post that we have to monitor garbage collection to find out what is causing OutOfMemoryError. I have been searching and everybody say you have to "enable verbose:gc", but there are no instructions how to enable "verbose:gc". The command should be -verbose:gc but is this command to window or Notes server console as load -verbose:gc? (I have tried both and the command was not recognized.)

Do you have any idea where I should start? How to make log file of Java Heap Memory in Lotus Notes? How do enable "verbose:gc"? Many thanks.
